The 3rd Annual Susquehanna Breakdown hosted by Cabinet hits Montage Mountain on May 8-9th! This year will be extra fun for us as we’ll be curating Arts on the Mountain, a local artisan marketplace happening at the festival! We’ll be sharing more on that soon, but right now we’ve got some insider scoop on this event that we can’t wait to share.
What’s this event all about?
A family friendly gathering in a picturesque location, Susquehanna Breakdown, will present a variety of musical acts (local, regional & national), craft and food vending and much more!
Festivals past have featured a brilliant collection of Americana, roots, bluegrass, funk, jam, and folk artists. This year, 17 acts plus special guests will perform at the event.
Friday Night Campers – What to Expect
Gates are open at 5pm Friday night for campers and RVs to get set up. The camping is right on the pavilion lawn, which is a bit of a trek from the parking lot but nice and close to the stages and all the festivities. For those who choose to come stay the weekend with us, we throw a little Campers Welcome Party on Friday evening. The concessions & other vendors will be open and there will be some intimate performances including 2 sets of Cabinet for the campers this year.
Campground policies on what you should and should not bring with you can be found on the website.
There’s plenty of space for tent camping on the lawn, but the RV area is very limited. RV spots did sell out early last year so don't wait on those.

Saturday: The Main Event
The actual schedule will be announced as we get closer to the big day but the day will start out with a Perk Up with Pappy set while our campers get themselves ready for the day and our Saturday arrivals start joining us. Then the music will keep going from there, with acts on 2 stages throughout the entire day.
Food
Festival favorites, The Gouda Boys will be featured again this year, with their famous Gangsta Steaks, smoked gouda mac n cheese, maple bacon, specialty pizzas, breakfast sammies and more.

A Family Friendly Event
SB offers plenty of activities for the kids. In years past we've had face painting, hula hooping and hand drumming workshops, kids yoga, a juggler, storytellers, coloring contest, music by local teen musicians as well as Cabinet's Pappy singing a set of kids songs. We kept families in mind with the pricing. General Admission is only $25 for with free admission for children 10 & under as well as reasonable pricing on the food/drinks. Even the camping is family friendly with quiet time from midnight to 8am and only $15 per person to add the 2 nights of camping. Kids camp for free.

Custom Beer
The Breakdown teamed up with 3 Guys & a Beer'd and Backyard Alehouse to create a limited edition brew for the fest... a Pale Ale brewed with fresh sweet orange peel and a dash of citrusy European hops. This tantalizing beer has a beautiful Orangish-Amber hue with a fluffy white head and a delicious aroma of refreshing citrus! We really wanted a session beer, something all of our 21+ guests could enjoy throughout the day, the beer should clock in at 5.0 - 5.5 ABV.
To come up with the name we let fans submit suggestions, then Cabinet narrowed the over 550 submissions down to their 5 favorites and now fans can vote on what the beer ultimately will be named. Vote HERE>>> LINK TO VOTE
